What happens at your monthly Parish Council Meetings?
Each meeting starts with an ‘Open Forum’, where anyone can speak, share their views or ask questions of the Parish Councillors. This is a good opportunity for anyone to raise any issues or concerns. We then have a report from our Police Community Officer (PC Buffie Cavin) about any crimes in the Parish over the last month. This is followed by Councillor Peter Bowden’s Devon County Council report and Councillor Derek Button’s East Devon District Council report which gives us insight and improved understanding of the ‘bigger’ picture of matters decided at District and Council level. This completes the ‘Open Forum’ and the Parish Council then starts on the agenda for the month. All members of the public are welcome to stay for the agenda items but can only talk when invited to by the Chairman.
Minutes of Parish Council meetings
The minutes for parish council meetings are always placed on this website, when they have been accepted as a correct record by the council. An interim copy is placed on the notice board in Broadlcyst as soon as possible after each meeting.
