Broadclyst has two sports centres in the village:
Looking for a venue for a children's party, event, club or society? The Sports Pavilion is in the centre of the village, next to Holly Close and adjacent to the Recreation Ground with its green space and children's a teenagers' playgrounds. We have ample parking and excellent facilities. Hot showers are available after muddy activities, and you may want to sling open the French doors and spill outdoors into the enclosed lawned area in fine weather.
The toddler group, craft group and youth club all have their meetings
here. The sport pavilion is also available to hire for parties. For more information, please contact Angie Hurren on 01392 464122.
The Pavilion Committee look after the running and maintenance of the Pavilion, bowls green (work on green undertaken by the Bowls Club members) and tennis courts. This is supported by the Parish Council, although the Committee is entirely separate. New members are always welcome (within the criteria set out in our Constitution) and the Committee would welcome any fund raising ideas – we need to raise funds to try to ensure that the pavilion is self-supporting. For more information, contact Tony Rusbridge on 461799.
The Sports Hall is next to Clyst Vale Community College in Dog Village on the south side of Broadclyst Village. The main sports hall is equipped for badminton, basketball, 5-a-Side football, netball and volleyball and the very popular trampolining. Outside, there are three tennis courts. As well as sporting activities, they also hold birthday parties. Also, during the school holidays they have the Broadclyst Playscheme.
More information can be found here.
The Sports Hall is run by Leisure East Devon. Directions and a map can be found on their website.
