Welcome to Broadclyst

The newly-formed Broadclyst Gardening Club meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the Wiltshier Room at the Victory Hall.

At the moment there is a £2.50 entry charge but from March 2010 entry there will be free entry with an annual subscription of £15.00

We have had a varied and exciting series of meetings and events to date and plenty more in the pipeline. Our events are posted on the upcoming events page of this website.

To give you a taste of first few months of the club:

• We have had talks on cider making, organic gardening and companion planting, fuchsias, and the latest developments in the gardens at Killerton.
• A plant and disease clinic was very helpful and a quiz on gardening and cooking most enjoyable.
• Our stall at Fun Day was a great success,
• And following a Gardening Club pressing of apples at Killerton the resulting cider will be on sale at next year’s Fun Day.
•  We enjoyed a delightful evening guided tour of Killerton Gardens with Kate, the Head Gardener.
• Some Club members visited the gardens at Feebers, Westwood and many joined in the Garden Safari.
• Sarah Pepper has shown us how to make Christmas decorations using foliage and berries, and we have had a skittles party….

Not bad for a group which was formed in June 09!
